About
As a native English and Spanish speaker, I am very passionate about helping others learn and improve in both. I have a biliteracy seal and have taken rigorous college courses in both, allowing me to teach not only the languages, but the cultures and backgrounds behind them. I have experience in helping students learn as a foreign language coteacher. I have also worked as a translator and can help in that field.
Math and history are also subjects that I thoroughly enjoy. However, I know what it is to struggle with grasping some concepts, so I am patient and understanding, helping students learn at whatever pace they can.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before beginning, I get to know where the student is. It is ineffective to teach something that is far ahead or that they have already learned. To make the most of time and efforts, I get to know what they know and, through conversations, get to know what way they learn best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a coteacher for a high school Spanish class and tutor students from elementary to high school in these subjects. I have also worked as a translator in English and Spanish. I have taken college level courses that have taught me linguistics, culture, and literature of these languages.
I have tutored elementary and middle school math and social studies.
