I really loved working with Ms. Rader. Not only was she extremely nice, she let me work at my own pace. I was able to learn a lot through her sessions and utilized what I learned to successfully raise my SAT score. To those on the fence about choosing Ms. Rader I can tell you from experience that she’s very communicative, flexible, and can work well with anyone from any background. From my overall experience with working with Ms. Rader she’s definitely worth it and I’m grateful to her for the time and effort she put into tutor me, and I know she’ll do the same for you.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet with the student and parents to learn how I can best meet their needs. At the first tutoring session, we review their school grades and test scores, and I recommend the content and schedule for our sessions. I teach content, help build confidence and explain test-taking strategies.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an elementary and middle school teacher for over 30 years and an independent college consultant for 5 years. I have a Multiple Subjects Credential, a Single Subject English Credential, a BA degree in Psychology and an Independent Educational Consultant Certificate.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $70 to $80 an hour for tutoring and usually recommend at least one, 2-hour session each week.
