I love learning. Not everyone learns the same way and I like to help people find the methods that work best for them even if they aren't quite as traditional.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to meet with students (online or in person) to first determine their personality and learning style. From there we come up with a plan to see what their needs will be. Sometimes a student may like to work more indepentently and use me as a resource when they have questions where as other students may need me walking them through each piece of information. Some students prefer more interactive methods of learning which require me to get creative and fully customize the lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In adition to a bachelors degree in philosophy, I also have several years of working as a peer mentor and a private nanny/ tutor. I have past experience with early education, helping children learn how to read and count. I also have experience working with middle school children, assisting with math and english homework. I have also been hired to teach private art and dance lessons.
