Justin's Tutoring
About
We are able to tutor a wide variety of subjects ranging from Korean to Algebra and even Public Speaking! I have attended Korean School for 7 years and I have been in the SAT class for 4 years. I am the Treasurer of Speech and Debate at my school and have attended invitational tournaments at UC Berkeley and University of Pacific. I took Algebra as a 6th Grader and I am a very strong math student.
I enjoy being able to see my student's growth and their happiness that they gained by giving it their all.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
There are always different kinds of students and they all retain information at different speeds. I want to get to the know the student and whatever qualms they have with the subject they are struggling with. I will start with a Diagnostic Test and move from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an International Baccalaurreate Student for the past 7 years. I have faced several challenges as a student and learned to help myself and others overcome them. I have taught Speech and Debate to middle schoolers and gave them advice that helped them win 4-0.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices will be negociable.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught my sister and her friends some tactics in Speech and Debate and I found that I loved giving help and seeing someone do well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with mostly IB students, but I have also worked with people who are in regular ed. I usually teach middle schoolers or high schoolers, but I am available and excited to be working with anyone older or younger.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am very fond of the James Logan Speech and Debate tournament that occured.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire me instead. Jokes aside, try to find someone who can find time for you and can teach you at their own pace. I tried to hire a Calculus tutor and she would just teach at whatever speed she like and I ended failing to learn anything.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
"What part about this do I not understand?" "Why don't I understand this?" "Are there other approaches?"
