Adriana's Math Help
About
I am a junior in high school who's currently taking AP Calculus classes and is preparing for AP Stats my senior year. I've been an A+ student my whole life and even though I haven't really tutored anyone yet, I do enjoy helping my peers whenever they need it. Please consider me as a great and patient helper!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know them and understand what they need help on. I then would ask what's their strategy and proceed to attempt and teach them my own stategy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in advanced math since 7th grade meaning I've taken math courses that are always a year ahead. I am currently in AP Calculus and am planning to take the AP test.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It mostly depends how much help the student needs. Preferably $12-$15 an hour would be a good starting point.
How did you get started teaching?
I haven't tutored anyone yet, but I have definitely helped a lot of my peers in school to study and understand some topics.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with younger students and students of my own age (currently a junior in high school).
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of my hard work this school year. Even though during this rough time of Covid-19 stopped our daily activities, my education is very important to me so I am glad my grades are high and that I am doing well overall to make my family proud.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I advise students to work well with their tutors and follow their recommendation in order to attempt to succeed. Even if it is something they're not used to, they should always give it a try.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I think maybe they should express any harships they're having. Maybe that includes stress or not being able to sleep. They should think about how they can better themselves in order to work harder towards their future. Personally, I would love to help the student talk things out with me if there's anything bothering them!
