About
I think that my services stand out because I tailor my teaching strategies to each student. I try to meet each individual students needs and help them in the exact area where they need help. After hearing both the parents idea of the work that the student needs to do and the students study habits, I make sure that I fit the interests of both these parties.
I really enjoy working with students of many ages, from really young students to older high school students. I am always so excouraged by the enthusiasm that students bring to our sessions, and its absolutely delightful when students have an "AHA" moment! Those things make me want to keep teaching!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With a new student I try to warm up to them for a while as I have found that many students don't automatically trust the tutor. I want to make sure that the student trusts me to teach them and they open up to me and are honest about gaps in their knowledge or when they don't understand something that I teach them. This is the most important step of teaching a student. It is extremely essential that the student feels comfortable opening up to a tutor and letting them know when they aren't clear about some concept or something that the tutor is teaching. This is the only way that the student will genuinely learn and grow.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a 3rd year Biomedical Engineering student at UT Austin. I have had a lot of training in the areas of math and biology and have taken very advanced courses in these areas. As someone who is currently a student as well, all the high school classes are very clear in my memory and I remember exactly how it felt to go through those classes. This makes me a unique tutor who has a student mindset and understands the best way to teach students more difficult concepts.
