This is Maria Vargas, founder and owner of Straight from Spain Academy. I’m originally from Valencia, Spain and moved to Los Angeles 8 years ago. In all these years I’ve been teaching Spanish and little by little I’ve created the best courses and recruit the best Spanish tutors!

I founded this academy to help and support people who really want to learn the language and the culture of all Spanish speaking countries.

My team of Spanish tutors are specialized in teaching in a specific an individualize way.

    After the very first session with Maria Luisa I went straight to buying a package, now we meet every week. I’ve had four or five sessions so far and my Spanish is improving. She’s always accessible during the week to chat or answer questions and she encourages you to send her messages to practice outside of class. I never feel rushed or time crunched in the sessions, more like I’m talking to a friend. They’re fun and light and Maria Luisa is awesome! If anyone is looking for a Spanish tutor you won’t be sorry.

    Not only is she super professional (got back to me immediately) she’s great at explaining and breaking things down!!! I was using Duolingo app for Spanish but getting a tutor really helps so much more for breaking down the rules of the language and speaking correctly! I highly recommend!
