Hey There! My name is Sebastian, and I have a passion for helping you succeed in school.
A little about me: I am currently an aviation student, working towards becoming a commercial pilot. I would love to advise any hopeful aviation students out there on the path to your license. I love watching sports in my free time, reading historical fiction, and hiking.
For my areas of expertise: I am bilingual, with Spanish being my first language, and with that, I can tutor in Spanish and ESL. I can also tutor in English literature and writing, I was editor in chief of my school newspaper, and have been a bookworm since I could read. I have good study habits, and would love to help instill those habits in you.
In high school, I took AP US History, AP English, AP Spanish, AP Government, and AP Economics. I scored either 4 or 5 on all exams, and can tutor proficiently in any of those subjects. World history, and history in general are some of my passions, I have extensive knowledge that would help anyone taking a history class.
I focus mostly on tutoring elementary and high school level students. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I tutor completely remotely, over Zoom. I enjoy the Zoom interface because of its screen-sharing tool, which makes it easy to work on an assignment together with my clients. I am based out of Los Angeles City, and would potentially be open to meeting in person depending on the distance, and depending on the state of the coronavirus.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to spend time getting to know a new student, and hearing the specifics of what they need help with. If it involves a class in school, that would include going over their syllabus, past work, and current assignments. I would work with the student to develop a lesson plan for our sessions to get them on the path to success. Splitting time into both mastering the subject and completing assignments is important to me.
