I am a student taking AP English Language and Composition. I have taken Honors English courses since 6th grade, and have accumulated much knowledge while being enrolled in challenging English classes. Because I am also a student, I am better able to understand my tutees' needs in terms of understanding the information and being able to properly apply it to any specified assignment or situation.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assist students with completing their English homework which can include essays, worksheets, writing prompts, and much more. My services cater primarily towards 6-8th grade students, but if necessary I will work with students from grades 3-5. The student and I will video chat through Skype and will be required to send me a clear photo of their assignment or email a scan of that assignment. We will work together to complete their assignment and the sessions can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a private tutor for several years now, and have an unweighted GPA of 3.98. I have been enrolled in the English courses that I assist my tutees in, therefore I have knowledge and experience regarding the curriculum for the class.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
One session that lasts 1 hour will cost $30. The prices may vary depending on the assignment. I am willing to negotiate prices, especially if I will be working with the student in multiple occasions.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I realized that it was fun to spread the knowledge that I had. If I understood a concept, I noticed that I immediately turned to the closest person to help them understand the material. I want to help students with English, as it is an important part of their lives in the United States.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in grades 3-5 and tutor them in the Gifted Students Class. I also tutor my peers in 9th-12th grade.
