Preet is overall a great person/tutor, 10/10. He’s really smart and will help you with basically anything you need. I’ve gone from tutor to tutor about 3 times and chose him as my final tutor which was a good decision I made because he helped me improve my grades. I missed a whole unit that I knew nothing about and he taught me the entire thing. He can help with any subject and I recommend him to the person that’s reading this. Other than just school work, he’s a really cool guy. I can talk to him like he’s one of the homies and has a good taste in music lol. Overall though, I really do recommend him, don’t bother going to other tutors, you’ll regret doing that.

Excellent tutor! Grades are improving I feel so fortunate to work with Maria for over a year now! She is the best tutor I’ve ever had! English is not my native language, and so writing essays for my ESL and English 1 classes was just a complete disaster for me. Maria helped me tremendously: she is very knowledgeable, and pushed me to find interesting arguments for my essays and made sure grammar and sentence structure were perfect. Apart from writing essays we worked a lot on speaking, vocabulary, and grammar. She makes the conversation flow, so that it’s really interesting to talk to her - I don’t have a language barrier anymore and really feel how my English improved. She is very patient, fun, and clearly enjoys teaching. She is always really well-prepared, brings various texts, games, and vocabulary lists with her, and gives you a lot of homework if you want to work on your English at home. I’m amazed how good her English is for a non-native speaker - she is a great example that learning a new language can be fun, fast, and productive!

Working with Dr. Lawrence Gipe has given me the skills to grow tremendously in my artistic development. He is very knowledgeable and gives important feedback, mentoring, and direction, like a coach. He has helped me achieve a successful outcome through consistent growth, flexibility in conceptual ideas, technical skills, and creative inspiration. Work that I made in his studio under his instruction has made it into juried exhibits such as my moon triptych into The Art of Planetary Science at the U of A and other paintings into the Tucson International Airport. I am a better artist because of Lawrence Gipe. He is easy to talk to and gives you the confidence to work toward your dreams.
