What makes me excited about reading, and learnig English, is when a child's lightbulb goes off in their head and they finally get it. They understand that they can have a natural love for words, and that they can learn anything by learning how to read. I enjoy technology but my primary goal is for students to learn.
I have been an avid reader my entire life. I love childrens books, and I love seeing students learn. I have a Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Azusa Pacific University Online College; 2016, and I have over 60 college credits towards a Master's of Arts in Education Degree with emphasis in Technology. I am currently a Substitue Teacher and am studying to pass the remainder of my CSET English exams.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk to the student and ask them what they think about what they are learning. I review samples of their work. I review past assignments with them. Moving forward, depending on the type of the assignment, I help the students arrive at their own understanding by giving illustrations.
