What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first step is to understand what my student's needs and goals are, whether it is to master a single subject, acquire better study habits, or to pass a high-risk examination. From there, I work together with my student to practice skills, create timed schedules, and increase my student's confidence in the task at hand. I welcome student feedback to see what best fits his/her style of learning.

I am a high school chemistry teacher.
I have 2+ years of experience tutoring students.
I have a B.S. in Physiological Science and a Master's in Education from UCLA.

I am very flexible and usually work this out with clients in our first meeting.
How did you get started teaching?
I have a passion for teaching, especially science. I love seeing students, young and older, succeed in school or subjects that they practice hard at.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask your teacher questions about how to better your understanding of the subject, such as: "What are some study strategies you used when you took this class?" or "What are some nuances or tricks for learning ______?"
