About
As a very young but experienced tutor, I am very relatable. I have realized this makes my tutees very comfortable during sessions. I am able to easily spot a confused look and redefine the subject matter in a way that improves the understanding of my students.
Light bulb moment! I enjoy experiencing the relief on my students' faces when a once confusing part of the subject suddenly becomes clearer. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and reinforces my passion for tutoring.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to know my student's comfort level with the subject matter. So I tend to ask them questions that show how well they know the subject and how much time they have to put into learning new materials.
I also like to know my new student's interests so I know what analoges will make the most impacts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry. I graduated summa cum laude in 2018. Since graduation, I have been working as a lab manager for a higher education institution. As a secondary source of income and a passion, I have tutored several high school and college students in chemistry and math.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $35/hour for my tutoring time. I understand that students sometimes need very view pointers, so I provide my contact information to my tutees for quick questions at no cost.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at the age of 11. I realized I enjoyed teaching my younger sibling and helping them with their assignments. I did not professionally start tutoring until 3 years ago.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with high schoolers for introductory chemistry.
I have worked with traditional college students on general and introductory chemistry
I have worked with non-traditional students (adults), returning to college for a new degree.
I have also tutored high school students in algebra and SAT math
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just recently started to use zoom for tutoring due to the pandemic. I am glad that I have finally mastered the use of it to my students and I's benefit.
I have also gotten a new air fryer that I am in love with . lol.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I will advise that they find someone that knows the subject well but is also compassionate and relatable, so they do not end up overwhelmed by the teacher's knowledge. I think that is what makes the difference between the classroom and tutoring sessions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I like to know my student's interest level in the subject, their reason for taking the class, any study technic that has worked for them in the past, their interests and passion.
