In working with a variety of students from different educational backgrounds, I know and understand that every student has his/her unique way of learning. Some students are more visual, while others may learn more effectively via prolonged use of auditory cues. I have worked with many different types of students including developmentally challenged or behaviorally challenged students and believe in implementing proven methods of effective learning, accommodating each student's learning needs by setting achievable goals.

I have been in the educational field for over thirty years. I have a multiple subjects degree and a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling. I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades for 28 years. I now teach the Orton Gillingham reading program. I love teaching and seeing the “lightbulb” go on when someone learns new things.

I have experience tutoring and teaching math and science from elementary school all the way up to the graduate student level. I love watching students learn things they thought they couldn’t and seeing their confidence grow. Tutoring is where I thrive since I can give each student my full attention, time, and dedication.
