About

I am here to serve YOU. I want you to succeed. I focus on not just on academic improvement, but also on creating confident and inquisitive learners.

Everything! Before medical school, I wanted to be a teacher, so tutoring is the best of both worlds. I am a people person and love meeting and helping new people. Also I love helping people meet and surpass their academic goals.

Frequently asked questions

I prefer long-term clients because I like to build relationships, but I work with anyone interested in working with me. The first time we meet, I like to gauge where you are academically, your learning style, your goals, and just a little bit about you. Also, I really appreciate it when my students are vocal about their concerns or needs.

Elementary/Middle School Students: $35

Test Prep (ACT/SAT and College Essays): $50

* If you can guarantee meeting 3 hours a week over 3 or more days for a period of 3 months, $5 is taken off my hourly rate (i.e. For test prep the charge for three months will be $45 an hour instead of $50) There is also a $15 fee for not providing a reason at least an hour before class starts that one will not be attending. In that same vein, if I have to cancel a session less than an hour before our meeting, your session will be $15 cheaper.

I, for the longest time, wanted to be a teacher. After graduating junior high, I used to return to my elementary and junior high and help students out. It has just progressed from there.

All types! I've had students from K12 ages, those who don't speak English, students who have fallen behind, students who want to get ahead, etc. I have worked with students of all walks of life!

Recently, I received my white coat which symbolizes the start of my medical school journey. It just proves all of my hard work has paid off!

1) ASK QUESTIONS! You could have the best tutor in the world, but if the two of you do not mesh, sessions will not yield the results you want.

2) KNOW YOURSELF. Know what you are looking for in a tutor. This can help you whittle down the list of who you would like to work with. Also, this can help to better structure your sessions.

3) BE OPEN TO NEW LEARNING STYLES. It can't help to try a new strategy once; who knows what you will learn!

1) Why do you think you can help me?

2) How will you deal with slow progress or if I (the student) get frustrated?

3) Am I ready to reach out for help?
