What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will quickly determine your English level, your goals, and give you a plan to accomplish those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a teacher in China for six years, and have also taught online for two more years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $20 per hour, however, I am flexible depending on the situation.
How did you get started teaching?
I discovered my passion for teaching while being a manager. Then I found an opportunity to be a volunteer teacher in China for one year - and my life changed forever!
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels - beginner, intermediate, advanced. All nationalities are welcome - I love different cultures :D
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently completed a six-week teaching program. It was difficult, but rewarding!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure your teacher understands what it's like to learn a language. You need a teacher who can speak slowly and clearly, and gradually prepare you for a real conversation with a native speaker.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You need to know your goals.
