Math Made Fun
About
I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all teaching method with math, so I like to use different ways of teaching students. It varies from real-life examples, visuals, combining methods, using Common Core Standards, to anything else the student is comfortable with that enables them to grasp the concepts.
I was a former math and English tutor for younger children in 2015 through The Community College Foundation and have tutored family and friends for many years. I have a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity have some computer programming experience. The highest math I have taken is Calculus II, but I have a very strong background in Alegbra, Geometry, and some Trigonometry.
As a mother, I believe teaching our children everything we possibly can is important to ensure their success. I have experience with tutoring children as young as 6 to 17. I am also open to tutoring adults/college students.
I currently hold certifications in the technology field:
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA CySA+
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Project+
- SSCP
- EC Council ECES
- CIW Site Development Associate
- CIW Web Security Associate
- ITIL Foundation
I love math and find every reason to use it every day. I am extremely appreciative of the math teachers I have had since grade school, and I enjoy passing the knowledge on to future generations.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student by finding out what subject they are strongest in, so that I can determine their thinking process and narrow down teaching methods to use, but not completely excluding all other teaching methods. I also ask what their weaknesses are in math, what their current homework is on, and try to get them up to speed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored through The Community College Foundation for different ages, and have reached up to Calculus II in college. My stronger areas are in Algebra, Geometry, and some Trigonometry.
