About
Every student is different and has specific needs. I have worked with hundreds of students at different levels of math for several years, both privately and with a tutoring center, and my focus is to find the unique way to explain math topics so that your student can learn and understand most effectively. My teaching is similar to the idea behind common core math, priotitizing student understanding over memorization, however, I strongly believe common core is not well designed for classrooms and must be customized for each student individually to be most effective.
I have always enjoyed teaching and communication because each person has a different background and experiences. Learning how to effectively communicate with a person is like solving a puzzle; it is fun, but takes practice. I have always been a problem solver and logically minded, and I use these skills to teach students effectively.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for over four years at a tutoring center, leading the math program. Having worked with over a hundred different students, I know that every student is different, so I adjust each of my lessons to give my students a good understanding and appreciation of math.
I am studying Computer Science and Mathematics at San Jose State University.
