Aamna Khan Tutoring

I am a two-time UC Berkeley Bear with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies and Masters in Business Administration (currently in progress). At Berkeley, I maintained a very high GPA, taking a range of courses from STEM fields, such as Statistics and Computer Science, to non-STEM areas such as Communications and Sociology. I bring 8+ years of tutoring experience to the table, working primarily with students ages 4 through 15 during this time on subjects such as math, history, English, etc. And for those of you with little ones, I have extensive experience with children ages 4 through 7, and helping them develop core reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Students I’ve worked with have seen incredible improvements in their test grades (average of one letter grade), problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. My students have also seen increased interest in school/academics after they start working with me. Subjects I'm comfortable tutoring in include the following: English (essay writing, reading comp, literature), Mathematics (up to Calculus), History/Social Sciences, general test prep/study skills, etc. My qualifications include: Top tutor for Kumon and Elite Tutoring Average increases of one letter grade for my students 97th percentile on PSAT 98th percentile on SAT 93rd percentile on GRE High School Valedictorian 5’s on AP Calculus AB/BC, English Language/Literature, Environmental Science, Government, US History, Economics I bring a positive and friendly demeanor to every session. I’m skilled at conveying complex knowledge in a simple and concise way, and in encouraging and motivating students. I tailor every single session to the students' individual needs and goals. My rates are very competitive. Tutoring sessions can take place online via Zoom or Google Hangouts for the time being, and in-person later on.
