Children’s English Tutoring
About
I am a soon to be 20 year old student at Boston University. As a screenwriting major and English minor, I have an adoration for both learning and teaching writing, particularly to lower/middle school students.
From my work being chosen for BU's "Palimpsest", an online publication that highlights outstanding undergraduate writing", and my position on the Dean's list, my affinity for language is one that translates to success.
My passion for writing started at a young age, so I would love to help foster that kind of passion in your child.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first lesson, I get to know my student to better understand what s/he is interested in, what his/her strengths are, and what s/he needs to improve in. I also get a sense of how your child learns best, so that I can cater the way I teach to him/her. When tutoring for a specific class, I ask for the course content to help me create lesson materials.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended The Harker School for 13 years prior to college and obtained a uniquely skilled ability to write. I had always loved reading and creative writing, so it is no surprise that my senior year of high school, I was granted department approval to take two English classes: AP Literature and The Art of Fiction and Poetry.
At BU, within the College of General Studies, I indulged in a liberal arts foundation in which I took several writing courses like Humanities and Rhetoric. Currently, I am taking a Screenwriting course and intend on taking more writing classes later in the summer. In all these courses, I have flourished and consequently come to undertand what makes excellent writing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I consider the first lesson a trial round that doesn't require payment.
If I come to you for in-person lessons I ask for 10-15 dollars for gas money, but I also offer lessons from my location, at an in-between location, and on Zoom.
My starting rate is $16 per lesson for one student. Additional students from a single household are $12 each.
