Garima Narang Tutoring
About
Hi! My name is Garima N. I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. Since then, I am currently enrolled as a full-time student at the UCLA Anderson School of Business and plan to continue working at Deloitte after graduation.
Throughout my high school and college career, I tutored students in math, science, writing, and art. I like to find creative ways to help students master principles that they can apply to succeed in the subject areas that they are struggling with. I am friendly, patient, resourceful and flexible. I like to create an environment of shared success, both for myself and for my students, and therefore welcome any resources, suggestions, and feedback from both parents and students.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
What makes me a great math tutor is my knowledge of the subject area and my empathy for students and their pain points. I myself struggled with math in school until the subject matter "clicked." I want to help make that click for my students, so they can take their understanding of the material and approach their work with confidence in themselves and their knowledge on the content.
After taking several college and graduate college entrance exams as a "bad test taker" I understand the struggles your child may be going through. It brings me joy to help others succeed in these exams by evaluating their strengths and weaknesses and providing custom tutoring to help them achieve their goals.
I've tutored several students who have brought their grades up significantly in their math classes by building a solid foundation from and understanding struggle areas that were the underlying root of not comprehending the material.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or specific requests. I am happy to accommodate your needs and find a way that we can work together!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to take time to get to know my student. I assess their strengths and weaknesses as well as their goals. Then I work with the students one-on-one, finding creative ways to teach the principles of the topics they are struggling with.
To ensure I can create the best and most efficient experience for my students, I request coursework/homework or topics that tutoring is requested on in advance so I can review and come prepared to teach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50 per hour + $10 driving fee / session if the client prefers to meet at their home. I do both in person and online sessions.
I also do group tutoring. Rates vary by case, please contact me for more details.
