About
Hello! My name is Khadija and I am a 3rd year medical student! I finished my undergrad at UCLA in 2019 with a major in Biology and a minor in Arabic and Islamic Studies. I've been tutoring pretty much since highschool, in which I used to tutor elementary school students in all subjects. I also tutored some of my highschool classmates in AP Spanish. I am a native Spanish speaker. In college I tutored highschool students in different subjects. I was also a teaching assistant for a biology and chemistry class in which I tutored some of my college classmates.
Each student has different goals and strengths and I will work with them and try to explain things in ways they best understand!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask them about their goals and what they want to get out of tutoring as well as their learning style. If something isn't working for them regarding my teaching, I am open to feedback and changing my style.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've tutored elementary age - college students in AP Spanish, Chemistry, and Biology. I majored in Biology at UCLA, and I'm also a medical student so I have had plenty of exposure to all kinds of sciences.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students ages 7 to 21.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure you know what you want to get out of tutoring. Do you just not understand what you're learning? Do you want to have more practice? Have a clear goal so that the sessions can be beneficial.
