About
Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm currently an undergraduate student at the University of California San Diego, majoring in Human Biology with plans to pursue medical school. Thanks to taking multiple AP level classes and participating in dual enrollment during high school, I graduated with a weighted GPA of 4.733.
I have about two years of tutoring experience, and support students of all levels. In addition, I bring 4 years of teaching experience from leading martial arts classes, which helped me develop patience, communication skills, and adaptability to effectively work with others.
I offer support in Spanish, biology, mathematics, physics, and reading/ writing! Some of the AP courses I've completed include Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, English Language, English Literature, Statistics, and Biology. During my time at UCSD, I have also taken cell biology along with Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, genetics, physiology, and chemistry.
Throughout high school, I spent the majority of my time navigating challenging coursework alone, allowing me to realize how valuable a tutor can be to not only improve grades, but to build confidence and develop effective study habits. My goal is to provide students with an individual learning plan that suits their needs. I will implement strategies that have worked for me, including mnemonics and engaging visual aids to simplify challenging concepts.
My summer hours are flexible, and I aim to respond to messages within an hour. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule our first lesson!
