I have just retired from 40 years of working as a college professor teaching Sociology and Political Science. I received my doctorate from UCLA, a second Masters from Georgetown University and played varsity basketball at the University of Georgia where I graduated with Honors.
I am looking for opportunities to continue helping students to their best in attaining their educational goals. I have extensive experience working with different populations of students; e.g. different ethnicities, races, genders, and status. I have a wealth of knowledge and techniques for assisting students with their writing, reading comprehension, doing research for a term paper, as well as test-taking and study skills. I can help the student organizing their assignments, projects, and studying time. I can assist the student with the subject matter of any social studies/sciences courses; including history, government, psychology, literature, among others.
