About

I really enjoy seeing how my students improve and get better grades at school, not because they just do better at exams but because they understand most of the things they didn't before.

I feel very proud of my students when I can see that they really appreciate what I do and they respect me because they see that they can do things they didn't think they could.

Pau was friendly, patient, and helped me with my primary goal of conversational Spanish so I could improve my comprehension of the spoken language. I highly recommend him. Thanks Pau!

Pau was very helpful to my son as he prepared for a test (my son is a sophomore in high school). He taught my son the nuances of how to think about the tenses and apply them. What also stood out for me was the follow up to make sure if my son needed any other help as it got closer to the date of the test. Overall very positive experience

My teenage daughter needed help for a test and Pau really helped her, not only to pass the test but to get good grades, so I recommend him to someone who is in my situation.

Frequently asked questions

First of all, I like to meet the student and, if possible, his/her parents in order to know what do we need to focus on and how to approach homework and everything. I like the student to do his homework with my supervision having the opportunity to ask me any question that can appear. I also like to give myself some exercises in what I consider is more important or needs to improve the most.

I am from Barcelona so my native languages are Catalan and Spanish. I'm studying at UC Berkeley right now as I'm part of an exchange program. I'm 20 years old and my major is Business but I've been tutoring students for 3 years now in Spanish and Math.

I usually earn $25/h and the parents usually pay me after every class, although I give them the chance to pay me at the end of the week if we do more than 1 class per week.

I started teaching 3 years ago because one of my friend's sister needed some help in math and I helped her and then the parents recommended me to other parents and I've enjoyed teaching kids and teenagers since so.

Most of all, I've worked with teenagers, from 13 to 18 years old although I also have experience with younger kids. They usually need extra help in some courses most of all because of their lack of concentration if anyone is supervising and the need to keep on track with every subject.

I am really interested in all kind of sports

I would recommend to really trust your teacher because they usually know what they are doing and don't be skeptical on taking these extra classes because it will help you not only on the academical area but also on other aspect sin your life in terms of organization and discipline.

They need to be able to know what aspects we have to emphasize, by knowing what they are not understanding or what the teachers give more importance in classes or even if they want to know more in a specific matter.
