What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I believe each student learns in their own unique way. I first begin my lessons by getting to know the student and understand where they are at in the curriculum. From there, I am able to decipher which teaching method to use for that individual. My goal is to explain the material in such a way that the student understands it better than when they came in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my bachelor’s in Biology from Vanguard University in 2017 and I continue to take classes and conduct my own research.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $35 for an hour session and $45 for 90 minute sessions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Learn about yourself. What methods or subjects help you understand concepts better? Also, what do you find yourself struggling with most? It might be applying the information, Or maybe when numbers are involved, your brain freezes! Or perhaps you do not consider yourself a strong test taker. There could be many areas that you could find yourself stuck in. Learn which methods have made difficult subjects easier for you to understand.
