I have used Hillary for all sorts of math classes I’ve taken, from high school algebra all the way to college stats. She was always so helpful and was sure to explain everything with Great detail. I loved how she worked out the problems with me and would allow me to have some of her notes (which was super helpful). She’s an amazing tutor and I promise if you have issues with math she’ll make your life 10x easier. Not to mention she’s the sweetest person ever. I loved every session I’ve had with Hillary and would 1000% recommend her as a tutor! :)

Hillary has been a great tutor to my son. He fell behind in math during Covid and she helped him catch up. Hillary is very patient and knowledgeable. Couldn’t be happier with the service she provided.

    Frequently asked questions

I start all of my appointments with new students by getting to know them a little bit - what are their likes/dislikes, comfort level with math and previous successes. I then ask what their goals are for the session and meet them at their level with the material. I end every session with some top tips to best move forward.

I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in teaching and I taught in the public high school classroom for almost 3 years.

My rate is $60 per hour with the option for half hour increments online.

I started teaching in 2014, but started tutoring as I was getting my degree in 2009.

I have worked with middle school, high school and college students in all areas of achievement. I work well with students with special needs because I tailor the material and techniques we use to the student's abilities.

I recently enjoyed going to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters with my husband. It's nice to have movies back in theaters after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Do your best to communicate with your teacher/tutor. The more you communicate, the better the teacher can meet your needs and fill gaps in learning. Also, be patient. Your first appointment may not be the best fit for you. Look for a teacher you are comfortable with and makes learning enjoyable.

What type of help are you looking for - a quick study session before a test or ongoing, regular help?

What types of materials do you have to focus the learning sessions?

Do you want the session to use course materials you already have or do you want full lessons taught by your tutor?
