About
My name is Tashia Banks and I'm the owner/founder of ScholarScope Academic Coaching and Tutoring. I have been an educator for 15 years, working in the US as well as abroad. I have an Honors MA degree in Medieval History from the University of Manchester, UK and I'm also a certified Academic Coach.
At ScholarScope, we target high school and adult learners. As academic coaches, we help students prepare for exams, help with organizational and study skills, and goal setting. We are unique because we use an approach called Academic Therapy. This is an intensive and holistic way to offer emotional and mental support to our students.
I'm very dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and I love watching them grow as scholars!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I take on new students, I like to get to know them first. The initial session lets me get to know them on a personal level. This allows me to familiarize myself with their learning style.
