About

I like to believe that my 1-on-1 sessions tend to stand out because of my relationship with the students. I love building a rapport with you and getting to know your learning style. I never teach just one way because every person is different! It’s never a dull moment when meeting with me and I do my best to keep it fun, and better yet, keep you awake!

My favorite part about tutoring is seeing my students confidence grow throughout out meetings. Experiencing your development throughout our process together is so gratifying and keeps me wanting to grow with you and become the best teacher I can be!

Samantha was wonderful with being able to relate and teach my child. My daughter came away learning more and more and had a great time each time she met with Sam. We will continue to use Sam to expand our daughter’s knowledge of French.

I just received a job in Paris, and was in dire need of a last minute tutor who would work with me before moving. I only had two months, and had to get conversational French down to a T. Samantha was a fast responder, and helped build my confidence! I am now moving next week and aced all of the Duolingo rounds. I feel ready to take on this new chapter!

My daughter recently worked with Samantha for her AP French exam, and loved the experience. She made sure she felt comfortable, which can be hard when learning a new language, and was flexible with her time. Samantha is a really sweet young woman who loved learning alongside my daughter. I will have my son use her as well!

    Frequently asked questions

The answer truly depends on the student. I always treat our first meeting as a way to get to know each other. If the student has specific assignments to work on, then I like to keep it interesting and fun letting us interact together. My favorite subjects to work on are the most creative, such as languages, arts/film, and English!

As per french tutoring, I think it is important to have conversations and dialogue when learning a new language in order for the student to express their necessities and concerns.

I am currently learning Spanish because my family is from Chile, and I understand how hard it can be to take on an entire new world of language. As a student myself, I react best to encouragement, dialogue, and repetition. The more fun we have together, the more inclined you will be to keep learning the language outside of our times together!

I am a graduate of the University of Texas with a BS in Film and French.

I tutored many French learners throughout my college career and aided with essays, grammars, dictations, readying, and pronunciation.

I took AP French in high school and understand the ins and outs of the exam. It can be quite difficult if ill prepared, but I promise we can make it a fun experience after just a few meetings together!

I love working with all people at all levels, and would love the chance to get to grow together!
