About

Heavy experience. For the past 5 years, I have had the opportunity to tutor and teach students from elementary school all the way through college. As a result, I have heavy experience in how to adapt sometimes complicated or "boring" lecture material to fit the students needs. Moreover, I am extremely flexible in timing, and am willing to accomodate any students needs or special circumstances that must be met in that regard. Finally, I am a student myself and understand what the k-12 teachers and college professors of today want to see, and can help guide students to performing the absolute best!

I'm very passionate about teaching, especially when it comes to Humanities and Science. Having been fortunate enought to learn under professors who understood the importance of making academia "fun," I have developed a passion to pass that on to others. Whether its engaging students in discussion and utilizing the socratic method or simply helping students through what can often be difficult material to understand at first, tutoring brings me genuine joy!

Mohamad is a very trusting and kind tutor. My kids loved him and thought he was not only easy going but also insightful.

Mo taught me so much when it comes to political science 1. I don’t really see myself liking politics much and my professor wasn’t really helping me, but Mo made me care about politics. He explained current events that were going on in the moment and how our founding fathers laid the groundwork for the liberties that we have today. It was interesting to hear his perspective about different things and landmark court cases. He definitely made me feel comfortable with something that I wasn’t comfortable with myself.

Easy to work with and made complex subjects simple to understand. I enjoy how he motivates me to find answers on my own by guiding me with encouragement and asking me questions for me to better understand my thinking. He really understands what he is talking about and Im glad for his services. 10/10 would recommend!

He was really good at breaking down the topics for me. I felt really bad because it took me a few times to understand things, but Mo was super calm and explained the same things multiple times until I got it. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, calm, level headed tutor.

    Frequently asked questions

No student is the same, that is one of the most important things I've learned through college. As a result, different students naturally have different needs and styles when it comes to learning. My first tutoring session is typically about getting to know the student, what they like/don't like, how they learn best, and simply working to break the ice. At the end of the day, if the student isn't comfortable with the tutor, or vice versa, the service won't be beneficial. Moving forward, I build off on that first session and mold my sessions (and relevant material) to best fit the students.

For the past 5 years, I have worked as both a k-12 instructor and a tutor for college students. In both fields, I had to undergo periodic training sessions in which we went over various scenarios, issues, and methods to properly develop our tutoring skills. Moreover, I have taken 4 different college level courses that are specifically tailored on how to teach a variety of subjects, with the classes focusing on General tutoring, english, group studying, and math respectively.

I have a pretty flate rate, in which the first session is $10 an hour, to ensure compatability. After that, I take $25 an hour, with no extra fee's in regards to travel or whatnot.

I have worked with a variety of students over the past 5 years. I've tutored elementary, Middle, and High School students, as well as College students.
