Custom to you or your child's needs my Handy History Helping services are in your palms. On path for a PhD in History focused on WWII my dedication as a fresh young tutor is to utilize both practical and modern resources to cater to the needs of each client and their learning style. All with effieciency, success, and empowerment in mind; with your Handy History Helper experience you will be able to master the ages across Biblical, Medieval, Industrial, and Contemporary eras as per your needs!
My favorite methods of teaching/tutoring include simple workbooks for all ages, short and easy to absorb video lectures from fellow educators, and hands on mini-lessons from my own construction to both engage and enhance the student's ability to learn. I strongly believe that it is vital to one's education to both identify and take advantage of their best learning style, whether that be hands on, visual, or audible.
Currently I am completing my second year and Associates Degree in History in a four year program to earn both my Master's Degree and Teaching Credentials. I so far may specialize in US History, however am most interested in WWII German affairs (that being the Holocaust). With minoring classes in political science and anthropology my services are professional yet close quartered to each clients desire as I am invested in advocating teacher to student friendship!

I am fascinated with the power of knowledge and learning, which is why I am in school to become a college professor! As I have a long way to go, I am in love with the idea of helping others as a young educator prior to my official career's beginning after graduation. Using several tools both simple and unique to the learning and undertstanding needs of others I believe I am both giving and recieving within my passion.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I will asses their needs, self-awareness in education, level of learning and request of my services. This then will initiate my construction of a cirriculum based on the resultes from such data, and finally begin the tutoring process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have so far US History, US Government, WWI & WWII, The History of England, The History of Mexico, Atlantic Revolutions (Haitian, French, and Irish), Anthropology, and both the Old and New Testament. My goal is to master y knowledge in WWII and German History.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate:
-$30 per hour as needed
My 6 session program!
- $30 per hour, 3 hours per session, 2 times per week for 3 weeks. - $540 total
- Specailized for US and Biblical studies either for basic understanding or in depth learning of smaller subjects. Example: US Government as a whole, or exploring the US Constitution (A class I am taking myself this fall ;))
- Completely open to the studies of personally needed areas of history! My learning is your learning!
Fee's and Add-on's
- $5 Rescheduling fee, simply for equity as I am a working full time college student.
- Special: if you endure my 6 session program and decide you would like more learning opportunities in any subject (continuation of the previous as well!), you will be discounted a 4 session program with the length and frequency of your liking at $25 per hour!
