About
I have been tutoring professionally since I started teaching in 2006. I love working with people and seeing there expressions when difficult or fustrating concepts finally click. With my extensive math background I take a very basic approach and explain the complex world of math using everyday language because math is it's own language.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I do an assessment to get an idea of there skill level and any holes that need to be addressed. Before we meet I usually communicate via email or text to get an idea of there struggles, frustrations, likes, dislikes, hobbies, etc. However, in higher level math courses it is usally just the correspondence before hand so I have an idea of what we need to focus on. Then there is usually a brief explaination of material, some practice problems, and refinement as we go.

This in of itself is a lesson in math, as multiple variables change so does price.
How did you get started teaching?
I started in 5th grade when I started helping other students. Really, it started in college when I was a T.A. In 2006, I started tutoring and teaching at a small charter school and even to this day I still keep in contact with my former students and it is such a treasure.
