Neurodivergent Tutoring
About
Hello! My name is Ashleigh and I would love to be your tutor. I am very patient and kind in the classroom (experience as a SPED para) because I know what it's like to struggle academically too. My mission as a tutor is to always be somebody that I needed when I was younger. My goal is to help you reach your goals! Even if that means modifying the way information is presented for your specific needs.
I love seeing individuals learn and grow and achieve all of their goals. I love being able to help students push through their difficulties and build up their confidence.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will always have some sort of lesson plan for each session, but when I am getting to know a student I prefer to talk less and listen more. I very much prefer to be patient and get to know each individual's learning style so that I can best meet their needs and their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a college graduate (BA in political science) and I have also worked in schools as a special education teacher's aid.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $20 per session (per hour) because that is the average individual income where I live in Tucson, Rita Ranch, AZ.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as a special education paraprofessional.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with primary and middle school age students. I have also worked with students with developmental disabilities as a special education parapro.
