Dr. Nadeesha J SIlva
About
I am experienced in teaching various levels and branches of chemistry. I have a master's degree from the Univesity of Arizona and a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in chemistry. Teaching at various institutes and different levels had helped me immensely to tailor my methods to best fit different individuals. However, I enjoy teaching general chemistry to undergraduate students the most. I believe in chemical thinking to generate curiosity among the learners and motivate them to learn chemistry. I strongly encourage the "active learning method" as my teaching strategy in order to improve their critical thinking, problem-solving, ability. Since I myself is a curious learner I firmly believe that teaching is the best way to learn. Through teaching, one can keep learning all through life. The satisfaction of learning and helping others to achieve the same is the reason I have always enjoyed my career as a teacher. In my leisure, I watch movies, listen to music and play the piano.
