I have experience tutoring students from middle school to college in subjects like chemistry, biology, writing, and foreign language. This May I will have a B.S. in neuroscience and a B.A. in creative writing. My tutoring style is very personalized, and I will help you develop a study plan and teach you study skills to ace your classes! I understand remote learning can be difficult, and I am ready to assist you as you climb that hurtle!
Every learner is different, which makes my job dynamic and fun. I love facing the challenge of questions I haven't thought of before and coming up with solutions to problems. There are few better feelings than watching a student apply a technique that they learned in one of my sessions on their own.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will spend the first 10 minutes getting to know each other and discussing the student's strengths and weaknesses, desires and fears. We will spend the last 5-10 minutes creating a study plan for the upcoming week or weeks.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have spent the past two years tutoring college students in science and writing and have helped develop tutor training programs at my place of work. I have additional experiences teaching middle school students neuroscience and creative writing. I also love younger kids and can make remote learning fun!

I charge $20/hour for high school or younger tutoring and $25/hour for college tutoring. Discounts may apply if you are a consistent customer.
