Computer Programming Tutoring
About
I am a graduate student myself, so I can relate to you guys much more than others because I have been through the same path as you guys are going through. Plus there are concepts that you cannot wrap your mind around in theory, but I will try to address them as practically as possible so that you get the gist of it
I already am a teaching assistant so i deal with a lot of students on a daily basis. I enjoy teaching because its fun and I get to meet and help new students each day. Also, I am a PhD student in computer science so getting your basics cleared is helpful to me too

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Whenever I encounter a new student I try to figure out what problems he or she is having, how aware they are about the language they intend to learn and then i teach them in their pace in a way they would be able to relate to. That helps them learn faster and is more effective
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a teaching assistant for almost a year so I am pretty familiar in dealing with students and their problems. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and I am currently pursuing a PhD in the same.
How did you get started teaching?
I always enjoyed teaching. Even when I was an undergrad I used to help my friends clear their doubts always. I have had a knack for it and I try to make my labs or classes or doubt clearing sessions as entertaining as possible
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a lot of type of students. I have worked with students who are completely novice to programming as well as with those who are familiar to it but not clear with the concepts. Every student has their own way of understanding and a pace at which they move. I try to be as flexible as i can be in helping them in their pace.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would suggest everyone who are looking for teachers in their area of expertise, try to find someone who would get your problems solved at your pace. Someone who would clear your concepts and give you a strong base understanding the fundamentals of what you desire to learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You should try to tackle questions about their process of teaching and judge yourself if that's effective for you. You should see if they are able to clear your doubts in a way you understand.
