To Whom It May Concern:
I have been tutoring children since I was a freshman in high school [14 years ago]. I was homeschooled and trained in the Montessori method early on, and I grew up in a family with six other siblings. I have babysat since I was old enough to no longer need babysitting of my own.
I am now a mother myself, and plan to homeschool my now one-year-old son [and his future siblings] when he is older. I have the experience with children to understand that they are far more intellectually capable than some might think, as long as one has the patience to explore their capabilities. I have this patience. The payoff of watching the moment when something "clicks" for a young person is worth everything leading up to it. I would love the opportunity to share such a moment with more young ones.
