About
In a way, I have always been tutoring. Ever since primary school, I've loved helping my classmates with homework and new material. Learning is my lifelong passion, and even as a kid, I have always wanted to share that passion with others.
My favorite part about learning something new is the 'aha' moment that comes with understanding it in a way that makes sense to me. So, by extension, helping students reach those moments, and take charge of their own learning, is the best part of being a tutor.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Scottsdale Preparatory Academy where I completed four advanced math courses ranging from Geometry to Trigonometry and Calculus II.
I have been tutoring for multiple years, in subjects including Latin, English, and most recently Algebra II. I also have had countless leadership/mentorship roles in Girl Scouts, including a summer camp where I was a theatre instructor.
Now I am working for Lehigh University's (the university I now attend) America Reads/Counts tutoring program where we go into schools in the Bethlehem area and offer in-school and after-school tutoring for the kids there.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $50 an hour with some variance for sessions longer than two hours.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in my school's volunteer peer-tutoring program. I taught new, incoming students so that they could get accustomed to Scottsdale Prep. Frequently these volunteer jobs would turn paid after the period of peer-tutoring ended and would last multiple months.
