About
I graduated from ASU in December 2018 with my teaching certificate. I became a sub in January 2019 until I was put into a class of my own. I taught 1st grade and grew up helping my younger sister through school. I have grown to be an emotional/moral support. I listen to my students and help them out in any way I can. I love working with students because I can see their faces light up when they finally understand what they didn't know before. I can help in any subjects from grades KG-8th grade. If I don't understand something, I do my own research to do my best in teaching. I appreciate feedback as I learn from it.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin by getting to know the students. I ask them about them and tell them about myself. Afterwards, I start asking them how they like to learn because I know that there are students who like to learn differently. If they don't know then I typically learn when we begin learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified teacher. I have learned through school and we continue to get training. Whenever I feel like something isn't working, then I try to change what I'm doing by looking through my past work or schooling.
How did you get started teaching?
It all began when I was helping my sister with her homework. Then I decided to make a career out of it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have subbed in a range of classes from KG-6th grade. My sister is in 8th grade now, so I've helped her and her friends as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
When working with a small group in school, I enjoyed the moment we had learning. It was fun and the kids were laughing with me. It was a great happy moment that I miss the most.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say that if they don't feel comfortable with the teacher then to move on to someone who they feel comfortable learning with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what you are curious about, what you still don't understand, what you like to learn about, and if you like building things, puzzles, videos?
