I am working entirely online and by phone to help you achieve your goals--whether that means studying for a test, reviewing a lesson, or revising an essay! I have a BA in History & Political Science and I am now working toward my Master's in Library Science. I can help with elementary and middle school Language Arts, Social Studies, and Geography; AP U.S. History; and undergraduate courses in American, German, and women's history. I am also available for resume review appointments and mock interviews for high school and college students.
I enjoy helping students really understand the material they're being taught in school. That not only means learning about specific events but also how those events impacted people and systems. This full understanding was a major goal I focused on with the students I tutored at my college's advising office.
I also worked as a peer career counselor and I am happy to work with students on developing and editing resumes or CVs, writing cover letters, and practicing interview skills.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Let me know what's being taught (textbook, teachers' presentations, etc.) or the individual lesson material so that I can review with you and provide more context. I can answer questions online and by phone, revise an essay in real-time or send it back with edits, or quiz you to prepare for a test. If you'd like to meet more than once, we'll set up a learning plan together to outline what we want to accomplish. I'm not a professional and not a substitute for a teacher or professor, but I am here to help!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently in a Master's program in Library Science. I have a BA in History and Political Science and experience tutoring college students in history courses, mostly those with learning difficulties and international students in American history. I also helped lead a college first-year seminar in 2018 and organized study groups before exams.
