I have been teaching for nearly 20 years. I am certified in elementary education and special education. I have 3 children of my own and 2 grandchildren.
Education for me is all about wellness. Self-wellness includes critical thinking and introspection. Helping children find their voices and their confidence is how I contribute. In return, each student teaches me. We can make this world better by preparing each student to learn and grow.
I love to see how students build new skills into their previous knowledge. I love to see how student's become innovators when new concepts change how they make sense of the world.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I meet with the family, assess their needs and look how I can teach the information that students are missing.
I assist students in applying new information to current skills. This may be independent of homework, but my goal is to teach students to learn what they missed or didn't quite understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Regis University and Ottawa University. I am certified to teach both Elementary and Special Education.
I have been teaching for 17 years and currently work as a Special Education Center Director. I am actively tutoring children from 2nd to 6th grade.
