Essay Writing And SAT Reading/writing Tutoring

Hi! My name is Mara and I am a junior at Princeton University majoring in history and am a free-lance journalist. I love helping students improve their writing just as much as I love to write.

Writing can be something truly magical, allowing one to communicate their thoughts and feelings in a creative and often beautiful way. I know, of course, that this is easier said than done. Writing can also be an incredibly daunting class, especially when their is a time pressure. I can help you improve your writing in a stress-free and fun way. I can help you develop a piece of writing from scratch, can provide detailed feed-back on a more complete piece, or anything in-between. Moreover, I know that everyone has a different process when it comes to writing and will tailor my tutoring to fit your process. I can also help improve scores on the SAT essay and writing/reading sections.

As a history major I have a lot of experiance in academic writing. Additionally, as a journalist and member of the Princeton University Press Club, which has a rigourous and selective application process, I am well attuned to writing and grammer conventions and know how to write clearly, and consicely.
