Amber's Physics Tutoring

I am an Arizona State Certified physics teacher offering remote tutoring services to high school students in physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electro-Magnetism. I am also willing to tutor in Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

I am able to offer tutoring services for the classroom curriculum as well as for AP test preparation.

I have 6 years experience as a math/physics teacher and 3 years teaching the AP Physics curriculum. Five of those years were spent proudly teaching physics at Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona. Currently, I am staying home with my two young children and find tutoring a satisfying way to continue to teach the subjects that I love.

Because of my previous teaching experience, I have the opportunity to connect not only with the students I will be working with but I will know how to communicate with and may already have a professional relationship with their teachers as well.

The most enjoyable think about teaching is the student. I find so much joy encouraging, growing, developing, and mentoring teens. When I can do this AND teach them physics, two of my favorite things come together. I left the classroom last year (2018) because I have two young children at home and wanted to be able to give them all of my energy but I miss the opportunity to be involved in the lives of other students. I find that tutoring offers me that opportunity while not detracting from the attention I want to give my own children.
