I'm going to school to be a teacher, a high school history teacher to be specific. I have a passion for teaching and learning.
I currently work at an elementary school with English language learners, primarily. I receieved my Associate degree this May. I had to do some service learning with all different students. I've enjoyed working with so many different students. We all have different needs and learn differently, being able to adhere to the different needs has been challenging but insightful.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like asking students about themselves and sharing details about my life. I try and find something we have in common and do what I can to make them feel welcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got my associates degree and I'm pursuing a bachelor's in education. I work for a publis elementary school as an structured english immersion (SEI) tech.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've done service learning in a high school history class and a self-contained special education class. My job has given me the opportunity of work with students in 1st and 3rd-6th graders.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love when students tell me that they've enjoyed working with me and that I've helped them learn something they've been struggling with.
