What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before my first visit, I like to call the parents of the student (if a minor) or the student (if an adult) and get the details of what type of work they need help with, and what their goals are.
My first visit is usually focused on the student - understanding their motivations and building a connection.
Later visits usually see a recap of previously assigned work, a teaching session focused on a new concept, and a head start on the next week's work.
