Mr. Curd's Math/STEM Tutoring - Taught By A Current Teacher And Duke Grad
About
I currently teach math at San Carlos HS in Arizona. I love to teach and make math click for students, so much so that I quit my job as an automotive engineer to teach high school math! With online school, I've got a little more time on my hands to help students through tutoring
A little background about me: I went to Duke (yes, I went to the basketball games) and have taken coursework in college level math, physics, chemistry, computer science, economics, and writing. I have taught Math, Robotics, and Software Development at the high school level.
Bottom line: I know how to teach students of all abilities, personalities, and ages. I look forward to meeting you and letting you grow as a student and learner!

How did you get started teaching?
I love seeing concepts click for students. It was such a gratifying feeling as a student, and it's even more gratifying seeing it as a teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
The school I teach at is on the San Carlos Indian Reservation, where students have a WIDE variety of backgrounds and skills. I've gone to college with some of the smartest and most diverse students in the country at Duke. I taught and learned alongside them. I haven't quite worked with all types, but I'm pretty sure that I'm pretty close.
