I have a genuine interest in helping the students do their best as well as enjoying what they are doing.
Italian is a beautiful language and connecting with students is something so wonderful. Tutoring italian combines the best of both worlds.
I’ve also expanded my tutoring to include elementary age math/reading/writing. I’ve been working with students for a year at an elementary school and have loved working with students and seeing them excel in subjects they thought they couldn’t excel in.

Makinna is so patient and kind with everyone she tutors? I asked her to help me out with my math class at school, I’ve always really struggled with math and have felt stupid asking questions. Makinna was so patient, reassuring and took the time to explain things to me until I really understood.

Learning a new language can be incredibly difficult. Diving into the intricacies of a language means diving into a new culture and a new way to think, the more you think about it the more daunting the task seems. Good thing theres Makinna. Makinnas sweet disposition and helpful pointers have been ground breaking for me. Not only is she talented with speaking Italian but she also understands the cultural nuances that come with learning Italian. She knows how to break up Italian into bite sized pieces and can take complex topics and turn them into fun opportunities to learn. With Makinna, come prepared to work hard but also understand that she makes Italian fun and frustration free!
