About
As a student who enjoyed math and making sense of the concepts myself that sometimes weren't made clear by instructors, I like to find what tricks or perspectives work best for the student. I am able to use different approaches to solving a problem so that it makes the most sense to the student.
I enjoy being able to help students see a problem that they may have not seen before and that allows them to learn and understand concepts to carry forward. I have worked as a teacher's assistant and know that what works for one student may not work for another, and try to adapt my explanations of concepts.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
To start with a new student I will ask at what level they're at, and ask what concepts they have learned and understand then address what concepts they are now needing more understanding on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student at Northern Arizona University and have completed math classes through Calculus 2. I have worked as a teacher's assistant that included tutoring and helping students understand concepts, as well as helping other peers when help was needed.
