Teaching is truly my passion and I am more than capable of altering tutoring sessions to the needs and abilities of my students. With over five semesters of experience in teaching and tutoring, I know we can finish strong together

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Understand what the professor/teacher needs from them. Figure out where the student is in need of help and their knowledge level to tailor a session to the student. Work through concepts as quickly or slowly as needed. Help students not only understand specific questions, but also the bigger picture and concepts of the course.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a senior at Northern Arizona University where I am earning dual degrees in Microbiology and Chemistry. I have been a supplemental instruction leader for BIO181 and BIO182 (fundamental biology courses) for five semesters where I also train new SI Leaders. I am also a tutor on campus at NAU for a variety of biology and chemistry courses.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mainly worked with freshmen college students but I do have experience in tutoring for AP Biology and AP Chemistry classes in high school.
