Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before starting my first session, I try to get to know my prospective student. I like to learn from their parents about their strengths and areas of improvement, likes, learning styles, and educational gaps. This will help me to understand where the student is coming from. During my first session, my focus was mostly on getting to know the student and try to build a relationship. In this session, my other goal is to build confidence and teach the right approach to solve the problem. In subsequent sessions, I estimate the learning gaps and tailor my sessions both in teaching the concepts and also providing the right tools to tackle the problems by themselves in the future.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in Math and a minor in Science and Education. My masters were in Business and Computer Science. One of my graduate degrees is from a prestigious Ivy League school ( Brown University). All these educational experiences helped me to become an outstanding educator in my subject.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
